Join us for the fourth session of our free workshop series, led by teaching artist Jas Pinturas.
Printmaking is one of the oldest art forms, with origins often traced back to the Han Dynasty in China (206 BC - 220 AD), 8th-century Japan, and 15th-century Europe.
In this session, we will touch on the history of printmaking, popular techniques, and historically well-known artists. We’ll then carve patterns, designs, images, or words into our styrofoam sheets. Once the images are carved, we’ll spread paint onto the styrofoam sheets and transfer the images onto the paper of our choice. Participants are welcome to elaborate on their artwork using materials such as glitter, markers, tissue paper, and glue.
This workshop is free to attend, and all materials are provided.
All participants under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult unless the child has written consent by their legal guardian and notarized to travel home alone.

El grabado es una de las formas de arte más antiguas, con orígenes que se remontan a la dinastía Han en China (206 a.C. - 220 d.C.), el Japón del siglo VIII y la Europa del siglo XV. En esta sesión, exploraremos brevemente la historia del grabado, sus técnicas más populares y algunos artistas históricos destacados. Luego, tallaremos patrones, diseños, imágenes o palabras en nuestras láminas de espuma de poliestireno. Una vez que terminemos de tallar, aplicaremos pintura sobre las láminas de espuma y transferiremos las imágenes al papel de nuestra elección.
Los participantes podrán enriquecer sus creaciones con materiales como purpurina, marcadores, papel de seda y pegamento.
Este taller es completamente gratuito e incluye todos los materiales.
Todos los participantes menores de 10 años deben estar acompañados por un adulto, a menos que el niño cuente con el consentimiento por escrito de su tutor legal, debidamente notariado, para regresar solo a casa.

参与者还可以使用亮片、马克笔、薄纸和胶水等材料，进一步丰富他们的作品。
本次工作坊免费，材料全由主办方提供。
10岁以下儿童需由成年人陪同参加，除非持有法定监护人签署并公证的书面同意书，允许其独自返家。
