Administrative / Design Intern

As part of a small and dedicated team, interns at NARS Foundation play an important role in supporting the organization’s core artist residencies, exhibitions, and educational programs. Interns have the opportunity to contribute ideas, build professional capacity, and assist in our programs. 

The Administrative / Design Intern works closely with NARS staff to support organizational operations, administrative tasks, artist programming, and communications. This role offers hands-on experience with nonprofit arts administration while also providing opportunities to assist with visual content creation.Interns receive a monthly honorarium of $200 and may also be eligible to receive academic credit. Interns are expected to work on site for two days a week. 16 hours a week. 

Responsibilities may include:
  ·  
Assisting with administrative tasks related to artist residencies, exhibitions, outreach and public programs
  ·  Supporting communications and outreach efforts across social media platforms and the NARS newsletter
  ·  Helping create or edit visual content for digital communications, marketing, and event promotion
  ·  Assisting with graphic design, photography, and/or videography projects as needed
  ·  Maintaining organized digital files and websiteAssisting with documentation of programs and events

Qualifications
  ·  
Interest in working directly with artists and learning more about nonprofit arts programming
  ·  Desire to gain experience supporting artist development and cultural programming
  ·  Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  ·  Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram
  ·  Interest in or basic knowledge of graphic design, photography, and/or videography

Other Requirements
  ·  
Availability for some evenings and weekends to assist with exhibition openings, workshops, and special events
