NARS is pleased to present Behind the Seen, an exhibition featuring the works of our Season III artists in residence. The works presented attempt to both navigate and interrogate the oft unseen forces and systems that structure our worldviews, whether the political, emotional, historical, social, or biological. These forces, although seemingly invisible, dictate the ways in which create, think, and move through the world. Subtly nodding to ‘Beyond the Visible,’ a documentary about the work of trailblazing artist and pioneer Hilma af Klint whose unparalleled transgressive work was misjudged during her lifetime, the title of the exhibition invites viewers to look not only at final works but those in progress and those yet to come.
