NARS is pleased to have artist J Houston, to lead the Self-Portrait Collaging Workshop on Saturday, October 26th, 2-4 pm. The workshop will take place at P.S. 1 The Bergen School 309 47th St, Brooklyn, NY, 11220.
How do we build perceptions about ourselves? As children, as adults? This workshop will take a guided approach to collaging self-portraits using found material from magazines, books, and newspapers. Through prompts such as 'what's your favorite body part?' and 'visualize a feeling,' we will twist and repurpose media for our own representations.
