Artist Statement/ Biography

Daniel’s works on paper and paintings aim to explore and express his unique relationship with his anxiety and mental health. Currently, he is working in drawing, collage, printmaking and painting mediums to explore the visual dimensions of his psyche and physical experience in the world. Since 2014 he has focused on crafting and developing this very unique visual language. He constructs these images by referencing personal traumatic memory, sourcing from medical textbook images, the natural world, personal journals and his subconscious. The resulting images combine a unique blend of abstraction and semi-representation on paper, canvas, board and found material.
