2019 Season IV

joonhong Min (South Korea)

Artist Statement/ Biography

Joonhong Min works predominantly in mixed media including drawing, installation, performance and video, questioning how collective and personal urban memories embedded in ‘found’ objects and images alter people’s perception of the city. He collects the wastage and sceneries from the streets and daily life then follows this by reassembling these collected materials according to his vision. Through these methods, he curates multi-medium space to question how collective and personal urban memories in founding objects alter people’s perception of the city.
