Animation Workshop

Join us for the second session of The Magic of Moving Pictures, a free animation workshop series led by teaching artist Maya Perry!

In this session, kids ages 6–14 will learn how to plan animations by creating their own storyboards—just like real animators do! Using drawing prompts and inspiration from comics and picture books, students will sketch out short stories or abstract motion sequences, laying the foundation for future animated projects.

This workshop is free and all materials are provided by NARS Foundation in partnership with the Sunset Park Public Library.

¡Únete a la segunda sesión de La Magia de las Imágenes en Movimiento, una serie gratuita de talleres de animación dirigida por la artista docente Maya Perry!

En esta sesión, niños y niñas de 6 a 14 años aprenderán a planificar animaciones creando su propio guion gráfico—¡como verdaderos animadores! Usando ideas para dibujar e inspiración de cómics y libros ilustrados, esbozarán historias cortas o secuencias de movimiento abstractas como base para futuros proyectos animados.

Este taller es gratuito e incluye todos los materiales, proporcionados por la Fundación NARS en colaboración con la Biblioteca de Sunset Park. Niños participantes deben tener entre 6 y 14 años.

欢迎参加《动态影像的魔法》第二场工作坊！这是一系列由教学艺术家 Maya Perry 主持的免费动画课程。

在这一节课中，6 至 14 岁的孩子们将像真正的动画师一样，学习如何通过绘制分镜图来规划动画。孩子们将从漫画和图画书中获得灵感，画出简短的故事或抽象的动作序列，为后续的动画创作打下基础。

该系列工作坊完全免费，由 NARS 基金会与 Sunset Park 图书馆合作提供材料支持。建议参加年龄：6-14岁。
