Artist Statement/ Biography

Mot create dioramas made by assembling fragile objects or ephemeral experiences that are presented through installations, performances and video documentations. His work is characterized by the criticism of hubris and by the appropriation of epic and supernatural stories woven into personal narratives. He uses technology as a process rather than an end in order to capture a form of contemporary alchemy. He is interested in fragility and obsolescence as a form poetic exploration of a tactile ecosystem of beliefs and identity.
